This is a service Barefoot services books on behalf of Sand and Saddle Stables, an independently licensed and insured tour operator in Placencia Belize.

The horseback adventure begins at Sand and Saddle Stables at Barefoot Services. After a brief safety orientation and gear fitting, the ride will set off heading north along Placencia’s beach.

Participants will enjoy approximately 45 minutes going north of leisurely riding along the shoreline, taking in the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. You’ll then have the chance to dismount, wade into the refreshing waters for a swim, or capture photos of your unforgettable experience. The ride then resumes, returning south to complete a full two-hour experience.

 What to Bring:

• Sunscreen

• Water bottle

• Camera or phone for capturing memories

• A small bag to carry personal items

What to Wear:

• Comfortable attire suitable for beach horseback riding

  • Many participants wear tees and shorts or quick dry long pants covering a bathing suit.
    

• sturdy sandals

• Hat or cap to protect from the sun

Important Guidelines:

• Minimum age for solo riders: 8 years (prior riding experience required).
• Maximum weight limit: 250 pounds per rider.
• Arrive at least 15–30 minutes before the scheduled departure time for gear fitting and the safety briefing.

Taxi Pick-up and drop-off services are available for an additional fee. If you’d like to include transportation, let us know. 

Cancellation Policy:

• There is no refund for cancellations made within:

  • 24 hours of departure for 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM rides.

  • 48 hours of departure for 5:30 AM rides, full moon ride and private rides

  • 7 days of departure for all rides between December 20 and January 10.
